Crystal Palace Set To Complete Signing Of Goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri This Week

Goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri is set to sign a three-year deal with Crystal Palace this week, according to the Daily Mirror.

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has been keeping tabs on the out-of-contract Cavalieri as he searches for reinforcements between the sticks.

Palace are having to wait until the summer to complete the signing of Vicente Guaita from Getafe, and in the meantime they only have one fit first-team goalkeeper after Julian Speroni picked up a knee injury.
Cavalieri, who has three caps for Brazil, spent two years at Liverpool between 2008-2010 and played under Hodgson during his time at Anfield.

Palace can sign a free agent outside the transfer window and have space left in their 25-man Premier League squad to register a new player.
