Trump retweeted Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First currently awaiting two separate trials linked to her political activity.

  • Donald Trump reposted three videos from far-right activist Jayda Fransen.
  • Fransen is the deputy leader of Britain First and has been repeatedly arrested.
  • Britain First has a track record of publishing unverifiable or false content.
  • Fransen is seemingly thrilled with the retweets, and wrote "GOD BLESS TRUMP."

President Donald Trump retweeted on Wednesday morning a string of tweets posted from the account of an anti-Muslim, British far-right politician.

Trump reposted three videos from the account of Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First.

The group is notorious in the UK for its racially-charged and frequently inaccurate statements about Muslims.

Fransen herself has been arrested several times this year in connection with her political activities.

She reacted with joy to the retweets:

Fransen is awaiting trial for inciting religious hatred in the town of Ramsgate, according to KentLive. She also awaits trial in Northern Ireland over an inflammatory speech made there earlier this month, according to the BBC.

The videos Trump retweeted had the titles "VIDEO: Muslim migrant beats up Dutch boy on crutches!", "VIDEO: Islamist mob pushes teenage boy off roof and beats him to death!", and "VIDEO: Muslim Destroys a Statue of Virgin Mary!"

It was not immediately possible to verify their provenance or accuracy. In the video featuring the boy being thrown off a roof, one of the assailants carries an ISIS flag.

Britain First figures have posted demonstrably false anti-Muslim content before, often in the wake of terror attacks.
