Kings College: This school is in the news for another wrong reason in 9 days

Kings College Students under punishment

Barely one week after the condition of Kings College sickbay was exposed, the school is in the news again for punishing students wrongly.

For the second time in nine days, the Kings College annexe in Victoria Island, Lagos is in the news for another reason concerning the treatment of students by teachers.

On Saturday, November 18, a Twitter user @lifeofmohammed shared a photo of some Kings College student serving punishment by lying on the ground.

Dismayed by the kind of punishment being meted out to the students, the Twitter user wrote:

"What will I call this? Boarders ain't prisoners smh. This is happening at Kings College VI Annex''.

Recall that a Twitter user, @gossyomega on Friday, November 10, shared pictures of the school sickbay describing it as very heart-breaking.

Sharing the pictures on his Twitter handle, @gossyomega Sick Bay at Kings College. Pictures taken 2 days ago. Hmmm there is a video too. Very heart breaking conditions.

The pictures attracted a lot of comments on Twitter as many wonder how a room set aside for the treatment of sick student is left to be in a poor and unhygienic condition as shown in the picture.

However, @gossyomega refused to share the video of the sickbay saying the video shows faces of some students of the school.

In a similar event, the management of another Unity  School, Queens College in Lagos was recently in the news over the school's inattention to hygiene which later caused infections that killed three students.

In March  an SSS1 student of the school, Praised Shodipo died in Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja as a result of the epidemic.
