Mayorkun: Singer rounds off 2017 with "Mayor Of Lagos" concert [Photos]

Presenting an array of his hits, a live band and support from some of Nigeria’s favourite artists; Mayorkun shook the foundations of Hard Rock Cafe.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) pop-star, Mayorkun has closed his nationwide university tour with a show themed "The Mayor of Lagos".

The concert held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Hard Rock Café, Lagos.

 

Mayorkun headlined a concert in the city of Lagos for the first time. It comes after the singer performed at over 30 schools, widening his fan base and connecting with his core demographic during his cross-country university tour.

Produced in collaboration with Hard Rock Café and Eclipse Live Africa, the founders of Gidi Culture Festival, the Lagos tour finale saw Mayorkun and some special guests light up the stage.

 

There were 15 opening acts, composed of a mix of singers and DJs. Cuppy, Terry Apala, Jilex Anderson, DNA, DJ Consequence, Viktoh, Tjan, Wale Turner, Dremo, Ichaba, and more performed.

Mayorkun who won the highly coveted ‘Rookie of the Year’ award at the 2016 Headies Awards, is currently blazing the charts with his smash hit ‘Mama’, which followed-up fan favourite ‘Sade’ and another hit with Mr Eazi for ‘Love You Tire’. Eazi was a surprise guest at the concert.
