The Super Eagles have moved up one place from 39 to 38 in the new FIFA Ranking.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have jumped one place in the new FIFA Ranking released on Thursday, August 10.
Nigeria dropped one place from 38th place to 39th place in July ranking following their shocking 2-0 home loss to South Africa in a 2018 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

In August, the Super Eagles are back to the 38th place again. With 716 points, Nigeria are tied at 38th place with Greece.
The Super Eagles remain sixth in Africa behind Egypt (25), Congo DR (28), Senegal (31), Tunisia (34) Cameroon (35), Nigeria (38), Algeria (48), Ghana (50), Cote d'Ivoire (54), Morocco (60).
In World Ranking, Brazil move up one place to become the number one country in world football.
World Champions Germany fall to second place with Argentina, Switzerland and Poland making up the top five.
European champions Portugal, Chile, Colombia, Belgium and France make up the top 10.
