Osinbajo: Acting President appoints new Solicitor-General of the Federation

Apata had served as solicitor-general and permanent secretary of the ministry of justice in Ekiti when Kayode Fayemi was the governor of the State.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has appointed Dayo Apata as the new Solicitor-General of the Federation.

The Presidency announced this in a statement issued on Friday, August 11.

Apata had served as solicitor-general and permanent secretary of the ministry of justice in Ekiti between 2010 and 2014 - Kayode Fayemi was the state governor at the time.

He also served as a legal adviser at the National Planning Ministry and also held several sensitive assignments.
