The Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) organised a protest in Abuja on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, demanding the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The group of northern youths marched from Unity Fountain through Federal Secretariat Complex to the entrance of 3 Arms Zone.
They were escorted by security operatives for the duration of their march through the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
"The unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable" and "Nnamdi Kanu is undermining the sovereignty of Nigeria" were some of the messages displayed by the group of protesters.
