Marc Muniesa Agrees To Join Girona On Season-long Loan

Stoke defender Marc Muniesa remains in Spain ready to complete his move to La Liga new boys Girona

However, boss Mark Hughes will not allow that move to happen until Bruno Martins Indi has signed up as his replacement.

Muniesa has reportedly given the thumbs up to a loan move and he will join the Spanish side for the whole of this season.

Originally, it had been reported that the 25-year-old would join Girona permanently but wage demands are said to have scuppered that option.

Meanwhile, Muniesa’s close friend and Stoke teammate Bojan is wanted on loan by Malaga while Monaco are continuing to press for Stoke midfielder Gianelli Imbula who has also been the subject of interest from Torino.

The Spaniard has made 67 appearances in all competitions for the Potters since his free transfer from Barcelona in July 2013.
