Gaston Ramirez has completed his move from Middlesbrough to Sampdoria.
The 26-year-old made 44 appearances for Boro after initially joining on loan from Southampton in January 2016.
The Blucerchiati had an offer accepted for €9m plus another €2m in bonuses, taking the total value to €11m [£9.8m].
The Uruguayan has experience of playing in Italy, plying his trade for Bologna in Serie A before joining Southampton in 2012.
Gaston Ramirez made 24 appearances in the Premier League last season, scoring twice and providing three assists for his team-mates.
