Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic has signed a new four-year contract with the Premier League champions, while also joining Spartak Moscow on loan for this season.
Mario Pasalic, 22, joined Chelsea in 2014 from Hajduk Split and has since been sent on loan to Elche, Monaco and AC Milan.
Pasalic, who played against Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan during Chelsea’s pre-season tour of Asia, will be able to experience Champions League football as Russian champions Spartak Moscow have qualified for the group stage.
The 22-year-old, who has been capped twice by Croatia, is yet to play a competitive game for Chelsea.
