360Recommends: Gbasky – Phenomenal EP

The Phenomenal project is an Extended Play(EP) music project which was composed and performed by Gbasky and was entirely produced by the students of The Sarz Academy; a non-profit Foundation founded by the award-winning producer, SARZ, towards the development of creativity among youths in Nigeria and Africa. The project has different variant of Afro-beats which includes electronic dance music, bounce, reggae and konto.

Adepoju Adeyinka Oluwabusayo professionally known as “Gbasky” is a professional songwriter, as well as an alternative and afro pop performing and recording artist in Nigeria. In 2014, the now defunct group (The Factory Pack) released its debut album; #BreakingBoxes which was listed at the top 10 albums released on online platform “Spinlet” of 2014.In the same year, Gbasky won the Coke Studio Raw Africa Competition which afforded him the opportunity to travel to Nairobi Kenya as a guest performer.
After a brief break to balance school in 2015, the artist with his group released another titled “Recess” in early 2016.

The Phenomenal EP contains 7 tracks which commences with ““Follow my Lead” and ““Man No Be God”” with both tracks produced by K.J Sunmon. The tracks produced by KJ Summon were followed by “Marianna”; a song glorifying love and expression towards a woman. Marianna’s sound was composed Kunle Bhadmus. STG who mixed and mastered the tracks also produced “Money calling” – to include the EDM version and “No Yawa”. While Kannon composed the sound to the only conscious music (focused on Sexual Violence ) on the music project with the title “A Story”.
